Cinnamon– Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine have use cinnamon to treat colds, indigestion and cramps. It has also been used for lowering cholesterol, treating type 2 diabetes, as an anti fungal, anti-clotting agent, and for arthritis relief. Used as a remedy for headaches and migraines, cinnamon stabilizes blood sugar levels and reduces proliferation of leukemia and lymphoma cancer cells.
Ginger– Has been shown to be effective against bacterial staph infections. Most renowned for Its anti-inflammatory effects, ginger can resolve brain inflammations, and ease or cure a variety of gut problems, such as ulcerative colitis and acid reflux. Ginger is even thought to alleviate the effects of gamma radiation.
Cardamom– Reduces mucus buildup caused by heavier foods and contains natural carminatives which reduce gas. Cardamom is also alkaline, making it a natural antidote to acid. As a member of the ginger family, cardamom has been used to make heavy and acidic foods easier to digest. It is also one of the richest sources of the phytochemical cineole, a potent antiseptic for bad breath, gum disease, sore throats, and respiratory conditions.
Black Pepper– Very helpful in digestion, anti-gas agent, antioxidant, and a stimulant for breaking down fat cells.
Cloves – Have analgesic properties that can be used for treatment of various dental problems like tooth aches. They also boost memory and blood circulation, and are beneficial for the heart, liver and stomach.
Nutmeg– Used in Chinese and Indian traditional medicines for illnesses related to the nervous and digestive systems. The compounds in the spice have nervous stimulant properties on brain. Also used for relief of gastritis, nausea, and indigestion.
